This sander has a die-cast 3-1/4-by-9-1/4-inch aluminum base plate with reinforced ridges to prevent bowing. A machine fitted universal joint with low center of gravity lets sander maneuver in all directions without binding. Other features include a swivel head for good motion usage, and two holding clamps that hold several sheets of die cut sandpaper. The 48-inch hardwood handle has a steep cap for setting nails, and the sponge rubber pad is epoxy bonded to base to assure long life.
